Giveaway! A copy of Fresh Quilting up for grabs

Update – This contest is now closed. The winner is Chloe!

I’m emerging from my wedding-induced blogging hiatus with exciting news! I am so thrilled that the publisher of Fresh Quilting has offered me a copy to give away. Fresh Quilting: Fearless Color, Design and Inspiration by Malka Dubrawsky is my favourite quilting book.

I only started quilting about a year ago and this is one of the books I bought to learn from. Not only is it a great resource if you want to try quilting for the first time, the projects are inspiring for quilters at any level of experience. ¬†And it’s beautifully designed – I’ve picked it up dozens of times just to flip through.

Malka’s style involves using a lot of colour and improvisational piecing and in Fresh Quilting she offers techniques and tips for getting comfortable with both. All of the projects in the book are beautiful, but some of my favourites are:

Nate’s Quilt – I just love this style of improvisational piecing. It’s something I will definitely try soon. And I adore how this photo is styled.

Strips and Stripes Quilt – Malka has written that this is her favourite quilt in the book, and I agree it’s stunning.

Modern Baby Quilt – The colour, pattern and quilting make this such a unique, beautiful gift.

Malka’s first fabric collection, A Stitch in Color, is launching at Quilt Market next month. The collection is beautiful, colourful, bright – everything you’d expect from her. I can’t wait to see it in Houston. Yay!

I’ll be doing a drawing for a winner for the book at the end of the month. If you’d like to win (and you should really want to win this if you don’t have Fresh Quilting already!) please leave me a note in the comments. Contest limited to the UK residents please.

Hi Annie, I would absolutely LOVE to win this book. I have about a million t-shirts with logos from different events of my life just picking up dust in my wardrobe. I have been meaning to make a quilt out of them but I have no idea where to start. Hopefully, Malka’s book will deliver the instruction I need! Laura X

    Hi Annie,

This book looks beautiful! I’m in a knitting club and I am the least talented member. I’d really love to read about quilting to give me some fresh ideas for the club!

    Thanks, Rebecca

Although an enthusiastic knitter, I have not made a quilt in years. Would love to own this book and would be grateful if you could put me on your mailing list.
