Classes this weekend: embroider a babygro and make a quilted Christmas stocking
Our mission to ensure every gift you give this year is handmade rage onward! This weekend we have two wonderful classes, whether you fancy a bit of machine sewing or hand stitching (or both, of course). And remember – if you do sign up for both, or bring a friend, you get 15% off with code STITCH2.
Quilted Christmas Stocking – 10am – 2pm Saturday, 2 November (£60)
On Saturday, our quilting teacher Judith Dahmen will be leading us in making quilted Christmas stockings. All materials are included in this class, including mini charm squares from Kate Spain’s In From the Cold collection for the front of your stocking and fabric of your choice for the back. You’ll learn quilting and sewing techniques and leave class with a festive Christmas stocking for someone on your nice list!
Embroider a T-Shirt or Babygro – 2pm – 5pm, Sunday, 3 November (£45)
On Sunday, local embroidery expert Patricia Herbig will guide you through the basics of hand embroidery whilst you stitch a fabulous design on a t-shirt, babygro or other knit garment for yourself or a little one! Bring the garment of your choice and choose a pattern from our selection of Sublime Stitching designs. You’ll learn how to use t-shirt stabiliser, apply your design and stitch it into your garment using basic embroidery stitches. You’ll have a one-of-a-kind garment to give as a gift or keep for yourself! All materials are included except the garment.
