Granville Shirt and Oakridge Blouse from Sewaholic now in stock
Sewaholic have started the new year running with two new blouse patterns! I have to say I’m most excited for Granville, since I am more or less living in flannel shirts right now. Love that something as comfy as pyjamas is sort of in right now. If you’re with me, check out our lovely House of Wales Plaids.
Now on to the patterns! For 2015 Tasia has made two great updates to her patterns. They are now available in sizes 0-20 (previously they were 0-16) and the pattern backs list measurements and fabric requirements in both metric and imperial which is super helpful for us because we are flip-floppers and it’s nice to know both.
The Granville Shirt is a fitted button-front shirt with optional front pockets, and long sleeves with tailored plackets and cuffs. Front darts add subtle shaping, and the back princess seams are designed to fit the curve of your lower back in an extremely flattering way. The yoke is self-lined, and the two-piece collar looks sharp under a jacket or sweater. It’s a feminine take on a menswear staple – an instant classic!
The Oakridge Blouse is a modern interpretation of the classic bow blouse – a fitted blouse with buttons down the front and a shaped hemline. Choose to finish your neckline with a beautiful bias bow collar, or a sleek collarless version. Both versions feature front darts for subtle shaping, and long sleeves with plackets and cuffs. This blouse sews up beautifully in fabrics with drape.
