Grey curly scarf

A few months ago we went to the Stitch and Craft show and visited Erica at Debonnaire. DSD fell for the display sample of this grey curly scarf and couldn’t understand that we couldn’t just buy it – we had to buy the wool and actually knit it. I like having sewing and knitting projects going simultaneously because I can knit while we’re watching TV. Or while I’m watching really crap TV on my computer like The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ridiculous!) and Ed is watching sport.

I’ve never knitted a curly pattern before and this was really interesting. It knits lengthwise so it felt so slow going, but was actually pretty quick when I think back to other scarves I’ve made. The result is really playful but not too cutesy, which I feel curly knits can look in some colours.
