Honor Roll by Anna Maria Horner now in stock
I was caught by surprise today to take stock of Honor Roll by Anna Maria Horner! Originally inspired by a collection of Anna Maria’s Great Grandmother’s handkerchiefs, Honor Roll became a playful assortment centered around the idea of being good. We have a lovely little selection – your very favourites from our CAB survey.
Anna Maria on Honor Roll, teamed with my photos from Fall Quilt Market: “Slightly more tidy in form than most of my collections, the artwork for Honor Roll varies from tightly packed and painterly florals to smart and vintage style geometrics.
There are also some conversational prints that will please traditionalists and quirky-lovers equally. Patchwork ready and begging to be darling garments, the three color-ways offer an enticing variety from whispering pales to shouting brights.
As the folded and stored handkerchiefs were when I found them, the pale tones are a deliberate reference to dusty, tea stained and yellowed textiles. While that helps the collection seem like it’s always been on your shelf, the punchy brights keep Honor Roll modern and fresh.”
