In case you missed it…
We’ve skipped a couple of newsletters this month (sorry!), so I thought I’d do a quick round-up of some of the great new stock that hasn’t gotten any attention yet just in case you’ve missed it:
At long last, Tsuru has arrived in the shop! This highly anticipated collection is designer Rashida Coleman-Hale’s first since making the jump from Timeless Treasures to Cloud9. Tsuru means crane in Japanese, where Rashida Coleman-Hale spent part of her youth, and this collection soars with beauty and grace and a touch modern funkiness.
Modern Home is inspired by Monaluna designer Jennifer Moore’s life, home and wedding. With a mid-century modern aesthetic and a playful colour palette, Modern Home is fabulous for home dec sewing, quilts, garments, accessories and anything else you can think of!
In Posy, British designer Aneela Hoey offers a whimsical, wild flower-filled collection that will make you nostalgic for lazy summer days spent getting lost in a good book. These sweet florals and bunnies are just right for Easter sewing!
A little graceful, simple to sew, easy to wear. Pavlova Wrap Top is based on vintage woven wrap tops, translated for use with light to medium weight jerseys for summer or winter wear. Pavlova skirt is a fabric-efficient four piece circle skirt with pintucked patch pocket, bound waistline and endless possibilities as a wardrobe basic.
Esme Top by Sew Liberated
If you loved the Schoolhouse Tunic, you’ll also fall for the Esme – a wardrobe staple with a becoming yoke accentuated by a buttoned placket. The gathered sleeves are complemented by a darling elbow cuff, making the Esme an all-weather top. We recommend using cotton lawn for a warm weather top and cotton flannel for a cozy winter shirt. Learn new skills while making a simple-to-fit top that you will find yourself wearing time and again!
A stunning shirtwaist dress that will go with anyone’s wardrobe, the Clara will surprise you with its keyhole sleeve details, in-seam pockets, and fabulously twirly skirt. The Clara features an elastic waist that makes it both comfortable and forgiving in fit. All construction details are covered, from the shawl collar to placket and pocket construction to making bias tape to finish the feminine sleeves.
Say goodbye to frustration with ill-fitting store-bought jeans, and hello to cozy-yet-alluring Simple Skinny Jeans. Never sewn a pair of trousers before? Not to worry, the pattern is deceptively easy. Thanks to the super-forgiving fit and elastic waistband, you won’t have to fret about fitting these jeans. With functioning patch pockets in the back and faux front pockets and fly, you can whip these up in a day.
Remember it’s also free fat quarter week! For every £10 you spend on fabric, you’ll get a free fat quarter (of our choice) in your package! Offer good on purchases made between 14 March to 20 March.
