Learn something new! Open classes in West Hampstead the week of 17 March 2014
Learn to knit whilst making an adorable roll-brim hat for the new little one in your life! In this three hour class, experienced knitting teacher, pattern designer and mum Camilla Miller will teach beginners to knit by making an simple newborn baby hat. On Sunday afternoon, join us of the second class in our series on printmaking, Block Printing for Beginners with Nancy Straughan!
In this class, you’ll learn the art of block printing whilst making a set of hand-printed napkins. Block printing has been practiced for hundreds of years and Nancy will make it easy for you to achieve a set of traditionally printed napkins to take home with you. You will have a chance to mix your own professional fabric paint and learn how to build a beautiful printing block that to achieve a similar look to Indian block printed fabrics. In addition to our classes, don’t forget we’re open late on Thursdays for our Knitting and Handwork Evening! Drop in with a project and join us for a cup of tea (or wine!) and a chat. No need to book, just come on by!
Finally, since we don’t have a sewing class going on this Thursday night, space in our sewing studio can be rented at £8 per person per hour. This includes the use of a sewing machine and our overlocker, all of our sewing tools and full access to the biscuit tin! Call or email us to book.
