Learn something new! Open classes in West Hampstead the week of 24 February 2014
We have some wonderful classes coming up in West Hampstead this week! Our Introduction to Sewing class on Thursday with Tilly Walnes is booked solid (next class is 3 April!) but you can still grab a place in one of our quilting classes this weekend:
In this fun three-hour class, Moda designer Aneela Hoey will teach her new pattern, the Skip Quilt! Skip is quick to piece with a wonky feel and is perfect for fussy cutting your favourite fabrics. In class you’ll complete several skip blocks and leave with a plan for finishing your quilt top at home. This is a great first quilt project, but students must know how to use a sewing machine. We have just one spot left!
In this class you’ll learn the steps to making a patchwork quilt by sewing a quilted cushion! Participants will learn how to use a rotary cutter, how to machine piece patchwork pieces together using a ¼ inch foot on a sewing machine, how to machine quilt the front of the cushion, how to sew a zip and finally how to attach binding. In short almost everything required to start making quilts! We have just two spots left!
