Learn something new! Open classes the week of 23 March 2014

Want to take a sewing, knitting or craft class in our West Hampstead shop? Here are this week’s classes in which you can still grab a spot!

Places have opened up in our Tuesday night Knitting Workshop!

Learn to knit

This unique knitting workshop is open to students at all levels! With the guidance and support of our experienced instructor, beginners will learn the basics in the first lesson so that they become confident with a project. Participants who already have knitting skills will learn new techniques such as working with cables, knitting fair isle patterns and using intarsia in projects as well as learning to read patterns. After you register, our instructor will help you choose a project to match your skills which you can work on at your own pace in the workshop time and practice at home. Sign up here.

On Saturday, join us for our popular Ginger Skirt class with Rachel Pinheiro!

Learn to sew

A simple and flattering a-line skirt, the Ginger Skirt by Colette Patterns is a perfect first pattern for aspiring dressmakers. In this five hour class you’ll learn how to understand and follow a sewing pattern, how to fit a skirt and techniques for constructing and finishing garments. You’ll leave class with your own copy of the Ginger Skirt pattern, a fabulous handmade skirt and the confidence to tackle more complex dressmaking projects. Sign up here.

This week we have our first Introduction to Hand Quilting class with Charlotte Newland but the class is full! Contact us to be added to the wait list or sign up for the next class, on 5 June, here.

And don’t forget you can drop in any Thursday evening for our knitting and handwork evening! No booking necessary.
