Learn to sew with Tilly from the Great British Sewing Bee!
Tilly writes the popular sewing blog www.tillyandthebuttons.com, offering practical tips and inspiration in a positive environment to encourage more people to have fun creating their own handmade wardrobe. Tilly only developed a love affair with sewing a few years ago, and since then she has made a wardrobe full of handmade clothing she adores, trained in professional sewing techniques, published sewing patterns, and sewn on BBC television! Yet she still remembers how daunting sewing techniques and jargon can be for a beginner, so her aim is to demystify sewing and make it accessible and enjoyable for all.
Tilly’s first class at The Village Haberdashery will introduce novice stitchers – or those who need a refresher – to the basics of sewing, from threading the machine to stitching curves and corners.
After getting to grips with the sewing machine, we will make a gorgeous 1950s inspired bow belt for you to take home!
Tilly’s class takes place on Thursday, 25th April from 6:30 – 9:30pm. There are just two spots left in this class, so snap one up now or risk being wait-listed!
