Peppered Cottons are a timeless classic and a favourite for quilters and now they are available in 108″ wide widths! These are yarn-dyed shot cottons, meaning the weft and warp are two different colours, giving the fabric a beautiful depth.
These shot cottons are a little heavier weight that others on the market. They are perfect for quilting and will fit up to a queen size quilt back. They also work well in dressmaking, in any pattern where you’d use a chambray or medium weight cotton. When planning your garments, keep in mind you can usually about half the fabric requirement for your pattern – often as little as 75cm! Find our new Peppered Cottons 108″ in the shop here.
Our new Intermix wovens are pretty woven cottons with lovely texture and drape. They are just right for shirt dresses, skirts and tops and will add interest to your quilt projects! Find them in the shop here.

Kettle-dyed Maxima from Manos del Uruguay comes in the most saturated colours and is squishy soft! This worsted-weight yarn knits up like a dream in scarves, hats, jumpers and more. Our super fun Sew a T-Shirt Class with Rachel Pinheiro is coming up again next Saturday, 11 March and you can still grab a place! In this essential class, you’ll learn to sew a t-shirt in your choice of style using a knit fabric. The class will cover everything you need to know about sewing knits on a home sewing machine, including tricks for getting professional-looking necklines, sleeves and hems.
