We have a lovely selection of the new Joie de Vivre collection by Bari J for Art Gallery Fabrics in stock! With their amazing florals, I imagine these fabrics mainly being used for dressmaking, and I just can’t wait to see what you make! Check out the Joie de Vivre lookbook for loads of inspiration.
The stack above is on Art Gallery’s lightweight quilting cotton. We also have one beautiful silky cotton voile for dresses and tops that need a fabric with drape.
And one striking cotton canvas. You could use this for garments that need to hold their shape, like skirts with big pleats and more structured dresses. This could also be one stunning roman blind!
We’ve also got a knit coming, but there has been a delay! Stay tuned for that. Find all of our Joie de Vivre fabrics in the shop here.
When Charlotte visited our shop on Saturday (thank you to all who came to say hi!) she left behind a stack of signed copies of From Stitch to Style, the companion book to series four of The Great British Sewing Bee! If you want to make that adorable babygro, that fabulous colourblock dress, or any of the other garments seen on the show, this book is for you! Grab your copy signed by the series four winner here!
We’ve added Kona Cotton Solids scrap rolls! Our new 5″ lucky dip rainbow scrap rolls are perfect for quilting and pairing with charm packs and our 2.5″ lucky dip rainbow scrap rolls are perfect for scrappy binding. Each roll includes eight strips and although you don’t know what you’re going to get, they will be labeled so you will know what you’ve got. So much fun, right? Find them in the shop here.
Don’t forget to grab your ban.do planner so you can start using it on day one, Monday, 1 August! These awesome 17-month planners by glamorous LA brand ban.do are playful and functional, designed for busy girls who like to have fun while they stay organised! These also make a great gift for a girl heading off to uni or starting her first big job. And through Sunday, you can save 10% when you use code OMGBANDO10. Find ban.do planners and accessories here.
We’ve added a button down shirt class for garment sewers who are ready for a challenge! In this class you’ll be able to choose from three patterns (the Grainline Archer, pictured; the Papercut Meissa; and the Deer and Doe Melilot). With the help of our experienced teacher, we’ll tackle all of the tricky construction details, from collars to cuffs to button plackets to buttonholes and more over the course of three evenings. This class takes place in November at our West Hampstead shop and you can sign up here.
