Cotton and Steel have released a free quilt pattern for the stunning Rifle Paper Co. colour fade Les Fleurs quilt and you can find it here.
Checkers is a 17-piece collection of woven cotton ginghams designed by Cotton and Steel! These fabrics are 48″/49″ wide and include huge 2.5″ gingham checks, 1″ gingham checks and the rainbow of 1/2″ gingham checks you see here. They are perfect for garment sewing (see some selfish sewing inspiration here) but the colours have also been selected to coordinate with Cotton and Steel’s quilting fabrics so you can mix them into your projects! Find them in the shop here.
Les Fleurs and Checkers are getting lots of attention, but we also have new stuff from all of the Cotton and Steel designers too! We’ve handpicked our favourites from Trinket by Melody Miller (telephones pictured are from Trinket), Raindrop by Rashida Coleman-Hale, From Porto with Love by Sarah Watts, Print Shop by Alexia Abegg and Rotary Club by Kim Kight. Quilting cotton, lawn, rayon, double gauze, canvas…there is something for everyone to love in this season’s offerings! Find them in the shop here.
Add some glamour to your workspace with gold desk accessories! These gold paper clips and binder clips look sophisticated and fabulous. They’re perfect for home, office or school. Find them in the shop here.

Laura Howard, who has made a career of creating beautiful projects with wool felt, has designed this autumn wreath just for students at our West Hampstead shop! In this fun and creative class we’ll learn how to wrap a wreath, create leaves and mushrooms, work with a glue gun and more. This class does not involve sewing on a machine, so students at all levels are welcome. It is designed for adults, but it is open to older kids (12+). This class is on Saturday, 17 September, 10am – 2:30pm. Find out more and book a place here.
