New at The Village Haberdashery: Window Dress and Checks Please by Cloud9, new chambrays from Robert Kaufman, the Cashmerette Harrison shirt and more!

Checks Please and Window Dressing from Cloud9

Yarn-dyed woven checks and plaids are super popular right now and we’ve just received our selection of Cloud9‘s two new gorgeous versions of these fabrics! Checks Please are tiny checks and Window Dressing are big skinny plaids and they are woven on organic cotton broadcloth, so they work really well for both garment sewing and quilting projects.

Chambray Boulevard Prints by Robert Kaufman

Pretty new printed chambrays from Robert Kaufman are perfect for autumn dressmaking! At 3.92 oz per square metre, These fabrics are light enough to drape and gather yet substantial enough to go unlined in many cases. We just love that southwestern print and the tiny, subtle dot!
