New in the shop: Chicopee and Chicopee Corduroy!
In case you missed it, we are now stocking the full collection of Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt for FreeSpirit. I love this collection! The colours really appeal to me and I am amused by the fact it’s inspired by 70’s television. And if bright colours and retro designs aren’t your taste, there are still some lovely subtle prints, like Bleeding Heart, Dotted Leaf and Cross Square, that will fit beautifully into your stash. We have set up a build-a-bundle for easy ordering and have charm packs if you just want a taster!
Here is FreeSpirit’s description of the collection: Vibrant hues and patterns evocative of 1970’s Americana are the hallmarks of Denyse Schmidt’s newest collection for FreeSpirit Fabrics. Chicopee is inspired by Denyse’s school years in Central Massachusetts and prodigious amounts of television. Favourite shows – which influenced her formative fashion sense – include The Brady Bunch, Mary Tyler Moore, The Partridge Family and re-runs of The Monkees. Chicopee will have you longing for back-to-school sewing, Levi’s cords, Earth shoes and that cute senior in his paisley shirt. A bright and warm palette of Push-Pop orange and raspberry with Relish green and turquoise is both of-the-moment and nostalgic.
The Relish colourway has 14 prints. You can find the Relish bundle here.
The Push Pop colourway has 12 prints. You can find the Push Pop bundle here.
And that’s not all – we have three prints from the Chicopee Corduroy collection! These are supersoft fine wale corduroys that are just perfect for Autumn dressmaking for women and girls. Try these with the Colette Parfait Dress or the Megan Nielsen Kelly Skirt for yourself or the Music Box Pinafore for little girls. Love!
