Our new Dapper Wovens window display!

When Dapper Wovens, Luke Haynes‘ collection for Moda, arrived in the shop, we just knew we wanted to show off these fabrics in a dedicated shop window display! They are so soft and pretty, and perfect for both garment sewing and quilts. You can see all of these projects in person at our West Hampstead shop.
Caroline used a couple of Dapper Wovens charm packs and a few strips from the gingham yardage we have in the shop for this gorgeous quilt. It’s unbelievably cosy and I think a larger version would be so perfect for a little boy’s bed.
She used Robert Kaufman‘s Manchester in Blue on the back.
Caroline put her signature paw print in the corner!
On our lady we have a Grainline Alder Shirtdress in Check is in the Mail in Wine Stain. This dress is mine, all mine, when it comes out of the window. I love it so much.
I think this dress is the best in a check fabric but oh, man, there is a lot of pattern matching to be done here! Zoe sewed it for us and she did an amazing job, as usual.
Kym sewed up the most darling children’s outfits. They just are so smart, and yet with fabric this soft they’ll be comfy too!
Our little lady is looking very sophisticated in her Two Stitches Frida Dress, a quick, simple little dress with a lovely pleated neckline. The fabric is Check is in the Mail in Evening Asphalt. Watch your plaids on those pleats! Kym embellished this dress with a little knitted flower pin using Rico Essentials Merino DK in Petrol and Rico Essentials Soft Merino Aran in Petrol.
Our little man is looking dapper indeed in an Oliver + S Art Museum Vest and Trousers set. The Trousers are sewn up in Check is in the Mail in Sky and Ocean and the vest is in Manchester in Blue. The shirt is an Oliver + S Sketchbook Shirt made a million years ago in a Cloud9 fabric that is long gone.
The vest is a much simplified version of the pattern, without the back belt or welt pockets. These details are so good, but rest assured if you want a quicker make and you leave off these elements, it will still look adorable. The lining and back of the vest are Kona Astral.
What do you think? Will you be making anything in Dapper Wovens?
