Our new Mendocino shop window display!

It’s time to share our new West Hampstead shop window with you! This time we are showing off the lovely Mendocino reboot by Heather Ross for Windham. We mainly pulled out the blues and oranges, the “boy” colours, for this window to change things up and also show you how fun these colours look in sunny summer dresses for girls!
The star of the show is this beautiful quilt by our customer, Sara! Last week Sara shared a tutorial for these fun fish blocks so if you want to make this quilt, go check out that post!
Caroline made this adorable bowtie using Seahorses in Orange. It’s a real bowtie, tied properly and everything! Absolutely charming. The shirt and shorts our little man are wearing have been featured loads of times before, so I’m just sharing the bowtie today.
Kym made this Geranium Dress in Large Octopus in Blue and it is darling! Already getting so many comments from our local customers. I know it’s hard to see this print in the shop, but this little dress really shows it off and Kym’s pattern placement is spot on! The patter is by Made by Rae.
I took so many pics of this dress!
Those fluttery sleeves!
Kym did a clever cheat on these back buttons – they are really poppers and the buttons are just sewn on!
And the squid are perfectly placed on the pockets!
Zoe made this Sylvie Dress with Kelp Forest in Brown and it’s so fun and a little crazy! The waistband is Two Tone Tiny in Turquoise from Garden Secrets by Sarah Watson for Cloud9. I think I’ll get some wear out of this on a hot summer day or two! The pattern is by Christine Haynes.
What do you think! Any ideas you’d like to make?
