Pretty new yarn in the shop!

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve had three gorgeous shipments of new yarns in the shop that are perfect for spring knitting. Have a look!

The new spring colours of Manos del Uruguay Serena have arrived! Manos Serena is a luxurious, season-spanning blend of 60% baby alpaca and 40% pima cotton. This super-soft yarn is hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbelised, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colours. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. The six new colours are Peony, Buddleia, Red Admiral, Chalkhill Blue, Meadow and Swallowtail.

We’re thrilled to be stocking Koigu Premium Merino! KPM is spun of the finest merino sheep in the world, plied for the remarkable endurance and great elasticity that merino is known for. A truly luxurious yarn, it is lightweight wool to wear, soft and silky to handle. KPM is prefect to knit dresses, sweaters, leggings, vests, hats, gloves and socks. Suitable for hand knitting, crochet, machine knitting and needlework. The feasts of one-of-a-kind colours are hand-painted by artist Maie Landra and her daughter Taiu and Koigu trained artist Richard Devrieze.

Knit Collage fans will be happy to see three beautiful new colours of Gypsy Garden in the shop! Emerald Rainforest is a funky mixture of vivid green wool, light ivory mohair and sparkly tinsel gently spun together with friendship bracelet inspired trims, lime sequins and yellow cloth flowers. Purple haze is an opulent yarn spun from lavender mohair and brilliant violet wool blended with plum and copper coloured sequins, gold tinsel, powder blue ribbon rosebuds and cerulean flowers. Raspberry Sunset is a luscious combo of dark orange, hot pink and marigold wool with natural and poppy red mohair spun with bronze tinsel, turquoise metallic trims, mauve sequins and bright lemon-hued crochet flowers. Happy, happy knitting!
