Quilt Market sneak peaks, part one
Spring Quilt Market is next month in Kansas City and I can’t wait! It’s my second Market and now that the shop is open and I have a clearer sense of what to expect, I think I’m even more excited than last year. In case you don’t know, Quilt Market is a massive trade show in the US that happens twice a year. New fabric collections are unveiled at Market so shops can place orders for the next six months or so. You can read my recap from Fall Market here, here, here and here.
Sneak peaks of a lot of collections are floating around in blogs and magazines, and I thought I’d share some of the collections I’m especially looking forward to seeing. Won’t you please share links in the comments to any other gossip or sneak peaks you’ve seen? That will make me soooo happy.
First up, this month’s Mollie Makes has some snaps of Melody Miller’s next line, Ruby Star Vinyl. I love all of Melody’s work but this collection is extra cool in my book because she’s collaborated with Thomas Knauer and Lucie Summers on it! They designed the record labels! My head is going to explode.
Next there is Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt for Free Spirt (whom we just interviewed on the blog here.) Sew Mama Sew shared a peek at the collection, which includes 26 quilting cottons and 6 fine-wale corduroys.
I was thrilled to receive an email from Wyndham about Bella by Lotta Jansdotter. Echo was a huge hit but it launched before The Village Haberdashery opened so I’m really excited that I can soon stock Bella, which has a similar feel. I bet these two collections will play together very nicely!
Stay tuned for part two of this list!
