Seven scarves and cowls to make and give!

We’ve done a lot of tutorials for scarves and cowls here on The Daily Stitch and I thought that with Christmas right around the corner they deserved a round up! Many of these tutorials will make for quick gifts – but then they are also lovely if you fancy something new for yourself too. There are also…a lot of pom poms involved. No apologies.
Fiona’s double gauze scarf – Fiona has taken our stunning Nani Iro double gauze and fun mini pom pom trim and made up a beautiful scarf that is both quick and simple and guaranteed to win compliments wherever you wear it!
Nathalie’s Lace Ladder Scarf – Nathalie created this one-skein scarf using Malabrigo Sock in Playa and it is so beautiful that everyone who comes near our knitting section wants to make one!
Loominous and Neon Pom Pom Scarf – For this scarf we teamed our new neon pom pom trim with Anna Maria Horner‘s new yarn-dyed woven collection, Loominous. It’s an unexpected pairing, but I think it really works!
Emily’s Simple Leaf Cowl – Emily used our beautiful Manos Silk Blend to create a very pretty cowl with a lovely leaf design and offered a free pattern for our readers!
Laura Jane’s Voile Circle Scarf – Laura Jane guides us through the process of making a simple circle scarf with cotton voile, which means you get to wear it round your neck and that feels like heaven.
Easiest Ever Knit Cowl – Knits don’t fray and interlock doesn’t curl at the edges, so you can just cut your fabric to size and toss it on as a scarf, or sew it in a loop for the easiest cowl you’ll ever make.
Not a Homebody Figure 8 Cowl – This cowl pulls inspiration and guidance from so many other projects – Anna Maria Horner’s Figure 8 Scarf, Fiona’s Double Gauze Scarf (above) and Purl Bee’s Long Pom Pom Cowl – the result is super fun!
