The Colour of the Month for August is low volume
August is low volume month for our Colour of the Month Club members. The way we interpret that for our club is a mix of white on white, cream and pale grey neutrals and fabrics with low volume black and white designs. These fabrics make great alternatives to plain white and are awesome supporting prints for quilts and other projects.
Clockwise from top, these fabrics are:
Flurry – Cream (Dashwood Studio)
Cotton + Steel Basics – Netorious in White (Cotton + Steel)
Doe – Boxed Lines in White by Carolyn Friedlander (Robert Kaufman)
Mini Pearl Bracelets – White on White by Lizzy House (Andover)
Moda Basics – Chicken Wire (Moda)
Color Composition – Checks in Iron (Robert Kaufman)
Reel Time – The End in Chalk and Ink in by Zen Chic (Moda)
Botanics – Crosshatch in Grey by Carolyn Friedlander (Robert Kaufman)
Once Upon a Chicken – Almanac Notes in Grey by Mary Jane Butters (Moda)
Fresh Cut – Running Stitch in Coconut by Basic Grey (Moda)
For our solids, we went with all the white and off whites on the Kona card. I would love to see someone do a little improv with these and, say, a neon pink or yellow solid in the mix. Woah. Blow my mind.
Clockwise from top, this bundle includes Kona Cotton Solids in White, Snow, PFD Bleached White, Oyster, Natural, Ivory, Putty, Eggshell, Cream, Champagne.
