Three colour palettes inspired by…pretty nurseries
A few months ago I discovered Style by Emily Henderson, a beautiful and inspiring (and aspirational, of course) design blog that’s also a lot of fun to read. It’s the first design blog I’ve been into, and I’ve really been loving it! I have been thinking a lot about how we can create content in this space that helps you figure out how to interpret home design ideas you see online in a handmade way. What do you think. Is this something you’d like to see more of?
One thing I thought would be fun to do is to take pictures of some of the gorgeous homes out there in pinterland and break them down into colour palettes you can use in your projects. I’m hoping to turn this into a regular series: ‘Three colour palettes inspired by…’ and today we are starting with nurseries!
This forest-themed nursery is from Style by Emily Henderson. You can find the full, incredibly stunning, nursery tour at A Baby Girl’s Blush and Green Nursery. Clockwise from top left, we picked Kona Cotton Solids in Oyster, Pale Flesh, Taupe, Wheat, Shadow, Mint, Celadon and Spruce.
This midnight blue nursery is by Elise of @eliseraquel and there are loads more awesome photos sprinkled throughout her instagram feed. Clockwise from top left we picked Kona Cotton Solids in Windsor, Emerald, Holly, Spice, Pepper, Shale, Sand and Snow.
This nursery is by Charlotte Love and it is one of many incredibly joyful nurseries on her website. Clockwise from top left we picked Kona Cotton Solids in Medium Pink, Candy Green, Highlight, Salmon, Sand, White, Ash and Dusty Peach.
What do you think? Will you use any of these colour palettes in your next project?
