Two Truths and a Lie with Aneela Hoey
We’re back with a fun new edition of Two Truths and a Lie! This time we’ll be playing with Aneela Hoey, whose second collection for Cloud9, the delightful Foxglove, has just arrived in the shop. Foxglove is inspired by the English countryside and some of the striking wild flowers – foxgloves, cowslips and primroses – that grow there in abundance. This collection includes 12 prints on organic quilting cotton designed with quilt making in mind.
Aneela has been designing quilting fabric for years, first printing her designs through Spoonflower before designing for Moda and, now, Cloud9! She’s also a sewing and embroidery pattern designer and has published a darling book of embroidery patterns, Little Stitches. She blogs regularly at Comfort Stitching if you want to find out more about her!
We haven’t played since January, so let’s do a refresher on the rules! Aneela will tell us three things about herself. Two are true and one is a lie. If you want to participate, tell us in the comments which statement you think is a lie. Enter by midnight on Sunday and on Monday we’ll put all the correct answers in randomizer and choose one who will win this complete fat quarter bundle of Foxglove!
Are you ready? Here we go!
1. I am really bad at driving – It took me five attempts to pass my test.
2. I once worked in a department store and sold a pair of Chanel sunglasses to Kate Middleton.
3. I grew up on a farm and wanted to be a vet when I was little.
Which is a lie? Tell us in the comments! Remember, the deadline to be entered in the prize draw is midnight on Sunday. Anyone can play, but only entries in UK/Europe are eligible for this prize.
