It’s getting colder and it’s the perfect time to learn to knit or try a new knitting technique! There’s something for every level of knitter in our upcoming classes – from total beginners to those of you wanting to learn more advanced skills. Plus you can join us every Thursday evening for our free, drop-in knitting club from 6pm to 9pm if you want to meet other knitters!

Learn to Knit
Wednesday 25 October, 10am – 12:30pm, Wednesday 1 November, 7pm – 9.30pm, Wednesday 22 November, 10am – 12.30 (£45), 

Do you want to learn to knit or need a refresher on the basics? This class is for you! In this class, experienced knitting teacher and knitwear pattern designer Renée Callahan will start from the very beginning and cover everything you need to know to get started knitting: knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on and off. Colourwork Magic with Renée Callahan
Wednesday 25 October, 6.30pm – 9:30pm (£45)

In this class you’ll learn techniques for knitting stranded colourwork that you can apply to any stranded colourwork pattern! Our expert teacher will guide you through reading fairisle charts, working with two colours and working the Magic Loop method for small circular knitting. Find out more and sign up here!

Knit a Chunky Lace Shawl with Renée Callahan
Wednesday 11 December, 6.30pm – 9:30pm (£45)

In this fun class we’ll take the fear out of knitting lace patterns! Led by our expert teacher, you’ll learn how to work basic lace stitches and how to read a lace chart, plus the Garter Tab cast on and a stretch cast off. The pattern is included with the class. Find out more and sign up here.

Learn Brioche Stitch Knitting with Renée Callahan
Wednesdays, 22 and 29 November, 6:30pm – 9:30pm (£85)

Brioche stitch creates a distinctive, widely ribbed fabric that is wonderfully lofty and cosy. This two-evening class will cover brioche stitch basics and get you started knitting a beautiful brioche stitch scarf. On the first evening, we’ll cover brioche stitch terminology, how to knit plain brioche stitch, how to work two-colour brioche rib stitch. After a week off to practice, on the second evening, you’ll learn cast on and how to work increases and decreases for two-colour brioche stitch, how to read a brioche stitch chart and how to gauge swatch for brioche stitch and you’ll be ready to get started on your project! Knit a Big Loop Chunky Blanket with Kym Armstrong
Monday, 4 December, 6:30pm – 9:30pm (£195)

Super chunky Big Loop merino wool by Loopy Mango knits up into the most gorgeous blankets! In this class, you’ll learn knitting basics, including how to cast on on circular needles, knit stitch and cast off while you create your own Montauk throw measuring 30″ x 50″. This throw is a fabulous decoration for your home and makes the most amazing gift. All materials are provided, including one giant skein of Big Loop yarn and 35mm circular to take home. Knit a Christmas Bauble with Renée Callahan
Saturday, 2 December, 10:30am – 1:30pm (£45)
