Shipping & Returns


In most cases, your package will ship within one business day of your order and we’ll send you an email to let you know it’s on its way. A small number of products listed as 'online only' generally require an additional 2-3 days before they will ship.

We currently use Royal Mail for our shipping and packages are shipped out Monday - Friday.

We offer the following shipping options for UK orders:

  • Royal Mail 48/2nd Class - £3.95
  • Royal Mail 24/1st Class - £6.95
  • FREE 2nd Class shipping for orders over £60
  • FREE in store pickup

Pickup is available during shop opening hours (click for up to date hours).

In all cases, days refers to business days.

PLEASE NOTE: If you order a Janome sewing machine it will be shipped directly from Janome via DPD.

We ship anywhere in the world and offer a tracked service outside the UK using either Royal Mail or another carrier, depending on the size, weight and shipping location. Pricing is as follows:


Up to 1kg: £10

1kg – 1.5kg: £20

1.5 - 2kg: £30

Over 2kg: £50

Our pricing outside of Europe is estimated. This is the amount you'll be charged at checkout, however if the actual price is significantly higher we will contact you to arrange an additional payment. We appreciate your patience with our international service and apologise for any inconvenience.

Rest of world:

Up to 1kg: £25

1kg – 2kg: £40

2kg - 8kg: £50

8kg - 20kg: £75

Customs charges: There may also be additional import duties or customs charges levied in your country – these can sometimes affect delivery times and overall costs. Please check with your local authority for up to date information regarding import taxes and duties.

Lost parcels: Royal Mail does not consider a parcel lost unless it has been missing 10 business days from the date of estimated arrival in the UK, 20 days in Europe or 25 days in the rest of the world. If you believe your parcel has been lost, please get in touch at However, we normally ask for you to wait that long before we can replace your order.



We make every effort to provide full details and accurate images for all of our products. If you have any questions about a product or would like help matching the colours of fabric, thread, zips or other items, we are happy to help.

Cut fabric, ribbons and trims can’t be returned unless damaged during shipping. If you discover a flaw or damage please contact us with photos. We will work with you to resolve the issue quickly and make things right, whether you wish to return the item, exchange it or receive credit. 

If you wish to cancel your order after placing it but before it has shipped, we may do so at our discretion. Cancelling an order after placing it or requesting substantial changes to an order may be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Unused and unopened skeins of yarn, thread and other products can be returned in their original condition within 14 days for exchange or store credit. When making an exchange, the customer must pay for all shipping costs associated with the exchange. If these items are purchased online, you have a statutory right to a refund if you notify us within 14 days of your intent to return them and return them to us within a further 14 days.

We recommend you send any returns by recorded delivery and obtain proof of postage. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in transit.


Janome sewing machines

If you've received a machine and you feel it is faulty or has been damaged, please contact us immediately. We will need as many details as possible about the fault and pictures if damage has occurred. In these cases, we’ll advise you of the steps we can take to resolve the issue, replace the machine or process the return.

If you've purchased a machine and changed your mind, you have the statutory right to return it if the following conditions are met: 

  • The item(s) is in stock condition i.e. as it was when it was delivered to you
  • You inform us of your desire to cancel within 14 calendar days of delivery of the product(s)
  • You pay the return delivery charges
  • Goods are returned to the shop within 14 calendar days of cancellation

We will withhold refunds until the goods are returned (or evidence of return is provided) and we can reduce the amount of money refunded for goods returned which show evidence of use beyond the handling necessary to see whether the goods were as expected. We will refund within 14 days of cancellation of service contract or receipt of goods (or of evidence of the consumer returning them). Where the consumer cancels a contract, any ancillary contract (such as a warranty or credit agreement) is automatically cancelled.

Janome feet and accessories

Unopened and unused feet and accessories can be returned in their original condition within 14 days for exchange or store credit. When making an exchange, the customer must pay for all shipping costs associated with the exchange. If the item you ordered was damaged in transit, please contact us with a picture of the damage and we will replace the item and provide you with details on how to return the damaged item. In these cases we will accept responsibility for the cost of the return.
