RiverKnits Trunk Show (FREE)
Sunday, 19 May, 2pm - 4pm
Meet our newest indie dyer RiverKnits and squish beautiful yarn at this special trunk show! RiverKnits is run jointly by Becci and Markus, two former engineers and avid knitters who first started dyeing yarn at home on their narrowboat. RiverKnits wool yarn is all sustainably sourced from British breeds (mostly spun here, too) and dyed in earthy, wearable colours in Weedon, Northamptonshire. Colour inspiration is drawn from the family's life on the canals and rivers, from the wildlife and landscape to the rich history of the waterways. Pop in to shop and squish a wide range of RiverKnits yarns, see samples and chat all things knitting with Becci and Markus!

Join us for a special knitting party at our Sunday Knitternoon to support The Big Knit campaign for Age UK! Abby from Knit the Bed will be joining us and providing her gorgeous hand-dyed yarn for this fun event. The Big Knit started in 2003 as a collaboration with Innocent Drinks. People everywhere knit tiny hats and Innocent put them on their smoothies. For every hat-wearing smoothie sold, Innocent donate 25p to Age UK. The campaign has raised £2.5m for the charity to date! We love this idea as much as we love playing with yarn, so we're super excited to get involved. Drop in any time during the event to knit a hat and if you're a beginner, Abby will show you how!
Make & Take Decoupage Workshop for Ocean Stars (Donations Accepted)
Saturday, 29 June, 10am - 1pm
Join us for a fun morning of making decoupage picture frames and treasure boxes in support of the Ocean Stars Trust! The Ocean Stars Trust was set up after the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Sri Lanka. The money raised by Ocean Stars has not only seen them construct and open their own school but has enabled them to takeover and manage 20 others. This has meant that over 700 children now have access to an education.
This workshop will be led by Maddie, one of 20 students from her school who has been selected to travel to Sri Lanka to bring equipment and teach in the schools. Maddie is raising money for her trip and is leading the workshop as a fundraiser. The suggested donation is £1 per project. More information can be found here.
