After School Sewing Club - Spring Term - Dressmaking
Our dressmaking classes are designed for kids who have mastered sewing machine basics and are interested in learning to sew clothes. Each term we'll focus on a different project or projects that will help kids learn how to construct garments, including working with a sewing pattern, cutting fabric, taking measurements and construction techniques.
A snack (juice and a biscuit) will be provided but you're welcome to send your child with his/her own snack. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.
Please complete our Kids Class Enrolment Form when booking a class for your child.
About Your Teacher: Ana Valls is the woman behind CocoWawa Crafts, an independent sewing pattern company based in London. Originally from Spain, Ana started her career journalist. But everything changed when she learned to sew! She studied Pattern Cutting for Womenswear and Professional Sewing Skills at the London College of Fashion, attended lots of other workshops, read tonnes of sewing and pattern cutting books. In 2016 she decided to turn sewing into a career and launched her first sewing pattern, the Marshmallow Dress, and her brand, CocoWawa Crafts. Now, she combines designing new patterns with teaching sewing to kids and privately in her studio as well as hosting the #sewinghourchat on Instagram every week, filming videos on YouTube and co-hosting the London Stitchers MeetUp.
