Introduction to Drop Spindle Spinning with Eleanor Flynn
Learn the slow, mindful craft of spinning your own little ball of yarn! Using a lovely wooden drop spindle and lots of colourful fibre, you'll learn how to draft your wool, spin your own yarn and understand how to ply your fibres to your desired thickness. You will learn about all the different types of fibre and breeds of sheep that you can use for this very unique craft and also how to look after your wool, once spun, to enable you to then go forward and knit/crochet/weave with your very own handspun yarn. Your class fee includes everything you need to spin your yarn in class and a drop spindle to take home!
