Krafting with Kre8ive Shack: Macrame Earrings
This is the first in this craft series of African-inspired modern craft workshops with @kre8iveshack! Learn the art of Macrame in this mini workshop and craft yourself a pair of fabulous statement earrings. Perfect for the summer and festival season!
The earliest recorded macramé-style knots appeared in the carvings of the Babylonian and Assyrians. The fringe-like plaiting and braiding adorned the costumes of the time. Macramé then traveled from north Africa to Spain with the Moors, and as a result of this conquest it spread, firstly to France, and then throughout Europe.
All materials are included and this workshop is open to all levels. It's the perfect introduction to macrame which will have you wanting to create more!
