Learn to Knit with Martha Supajirawatananon
A MASK OR FACE COVERING IS REQUIRED IN THE SHOP INCLUDING DURING OUR CLASSES.
- casting on
- holding the yarn and keeping good tension
- knit and purl stitches to create different fabrics (garter stitch, stocking(nette) stitch and 1x1 rib)
- recognising different stitches and construction
- knitting a border
- joining a new colour/yarn
- following a pattern
- binding off
- weaving in ends
About your teacher: Martha has over 15 years of knitting experience, and 10 years teaching experience from another field with a teaching certificate to boot. A former design consultant at Rowan and now working at Slipstitch London, she has knitted samples for various knitting books and shop displays. She is always helping customers with their queries. She has run knitting groups all over the world and taught various generations of new knitters. She has also designed and sold her own knits. She is so excited to share this knowledge and experience, and the joy of knitting, with you!
