Learn to Sew a Zip Pouch with Charlotte Newland

In this fun class we’ll take the fear out of sewing zips by making a handy flat-bottom zippered pouch! In just two hours you’ll be sewing zips like a pro and addicted to making pouches!
About your teacher: Charlotte Newland is an accomplished dressmaker, quilter and all-round crafter. She is the winner of the Great British Sewing Bee 2016 and her quilts have received awards at QuiltCon and the Blogger's Quilt Festival. She lives in London with her husband, kids, dog, cat and sewing machines. Charlotte can be found online at charlottenewland.com
Skills needed: This class is suitable for beginners, but you must know how to use a sewing machine.
Materials: You will need to bring or buy your fabric, thread, interfacing and zip for your pouch. All materials are available at The Village Haberdashery and you'll receive a 10% discount if you purchase your supplies in the shop. You will need:
- 1 x 10" (or longer to cut down) regular zip
- 1 fat quarters of outer fabric
- 1 fat quarters of lining fabric
- 1/4 metre woven interfacing
