Pom-pom sculpting techniques to get different shapes and definition from your pom-poms, different scissor types for pom-poms
Tips on the best fibres (natural and synthetic) for pom-poms with hands-on experimentation
Different ways to attach the pom-poms for different uses or projects; using our experimentation pom-poms to make keyrings or pom-pom door hangersMaking one pair of pom-pom earrings to wear on the way out!
Your class fee includes everything you need for class, plus loads of supplies to take home! You'll leave with:
- A Loome 5-in-1 tool (Sold separately for £12)
- Card pom-pom trim guide
- Bobbin of strong string for tying pom-poms
- A reference leaflet
- Stash of yarn for continuing the pom-pom journey at home (1 50g ball of merino aran yarn, 2 25g balls of acrylic DK yarn, 1 25g of wool roving chunky yarn, 2 15g bundles of fingering weight yarn)
- A pom-pom project (keyring or door knob hanger)
- A pair of pom-pom earrings
About your teacher: The Sewcial Circle is all about inspiring a new generation of young designers. Launched by Katie Farrell in 2013, The Sewcial Circle has run sewing and craft workshops and parties all over London, at dining room tables in just about every borough to art centres like The Southbank Centre. Her current obsession is all things fibre craft, from pom-poms and tassels, to macrame and weaving.
Skills needed: No previous experience is required.
