Jo Avery has been sewing and quilting since she was a child, and began writing her blog myBearpaw a decade ago. Her love of intricate techniques such as needle-turn appliqué and embroidery combined with a passion for colourful improv piecing allows her to embrace both traditional and modern quilting. She is a regular contributor to a number of quilt publications and this is her first solo book. Jo enjoys inspiring others through her studio workshops and the annual sewing retreats she organises.
