RiverKnits BFL 4-Ply - Starry Night
Beautiful hand-dyed yarn from RiverKnits! This yarn is smooth, worsted-spun and plied, with a lot of lustre and great bounce. The Bluefaced Leicester breed produces wool that is strong and still manages to be next-to-skin soft, making it ideal for a wide range of projects. This yarn will work fantastically in hats, mittens, jumpers, and shawls. It's also hardwearing enough for socks, especially when knitted at a tight gauge. It wears well over time and pills very little. The stitch definition is excellent, making it suitable for beautiful stocking stitch, textured knit-purl patterns or brioche, lace, colourwork, and well-defined cables.
Inspired by the famous impressionist painter Van Gogh – this colourway knits up as a deep variegated blue with bright stars speckled throughout. It really looks like a starry night! Best used in designs with a circular or curved shape to closely mimic the sky.
This yarn has been hand-dyed in small batches, and the colour consistency between batches is very good but can't be guaranteed, so we recommend that you buy enough skeins for your project. If your project uses more than one skein, we also recommend that you alternate / stripe the skeins throughout.

Care: When it comes to blocking or washing your project, use lukewarm water with your favourite wool wash, such as Soak, and lay flat to dry. We take great care to thoroughly set the dye and rinse the yarn afterwards, but differing water temperatures and chemicals can cause some dye to bleed. If you're using it in a multicoloured project, we recommend washing a swatch first to test for colour-fastness.
